What can't Milwaukee Brewers superstar Jacob Misiorowski do?

When Misiorowski took the hill to kick off the 2026 season as Milwaukee's Opening Day starter, there were high expectations. While this is the case, no one could've predicted how good his 2026 season would actually be.

Now, of course, there is still over one month left in the 2026 season. Things could always take a turn, but what Misiorowski has been able to do so far this season has been special.

The 24-year-old ace is leading the league with a 1.76 ERA and 204 strikeouts across 22 starts. Misiorowski is 11-5 on the season to go along with his 204-to-30 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 133 innings pitched. Also, of course, Misiorowski set the league record for the fastest recorded fastball thrown by a starter at 105.5 miles per hour.

Again, what can't this guy do?

His 204 strikeouts at this point in the season are absurd. So much so that he actually became the second-fastest pitcher in Major League Baseball history to reach the mark in a season.

It took the flamethrower just 129 1/3 innings to reach the 200-strikeout threshold. The only pitcher who has been able to reach the mark quicker is Spencer Strider of the Atlanta Braves at 123 1/3 innings in 2022.

Arguably, we are witnessing the most impressive season by a starter in Brewers history. Of course, there have been other incredible seasons. Corbin Burnes won the 2021 National League Cy Young Award and led the league with a 2.43 ERA in 28 starts.

Back in 2008, the Brewers went out and acquired CC Sabathia from Cleveland and he logged a 1.65 ERA in 17 starts, to go along with seven complete games in 130 2/3 innings pitched. Both Sabathia and Burnes were incredible. If Sabathia had spent the entire season with the Brewers that year, maybe his season could've been the best in team history.

But what Misiorowski has been able to do this season in totality has been even better. To make matters even better is the fact that he's just 24 years old. Misiorowski is under team control through the 2031 season and should just get even better. Misiorowski should win the National League Cy Young Award this season and it very well could be the first of many if he keeps pitching like this.

What a run. Now, can he reach 300?
