The Chicago Cubs took a beating on Saturday night and now hope to avoid a series sweep as they wrap up their series with the Texas Rangers on Sunday at Globe Life Field.

The Cubs (0-2) led early in the game on a two-run home run by Dansby Swanson. Unfortunately it was the only two runs the Cubs would score. The Rangers would hit three home runs in the game — two-run shots from Jared Walsh, Adolis Garcia and Josh Jung. The Rangers won, 11-2.

Starter Kyle Hendricks took the loss for the Cubs, but No. 10 pitching prospect Ben Brown made his Major League debut in relief. He was called up from Triple-A Iowa after the Cubs put starter Justin Steele on the injured list with a hamstring injury.

Brown threw a solid first inning but was victimized for six runs on five hits in the eighth inning. On at least three occasions Cubs infielders failed to make plays that could have been made, but they were scored hits.

Christopher Morel was the only Cub with multiple hits as he continued his hot start to the season.

Here is the preview for the game, with probable pitchers, starting lineups, how to watch and listen, injury updates and more.
