Dodgers Notes: Roster Movement, Seager, Player Signings, New VP Hire Looking Toward Shohei?
Corey Seager went off and won another World Series MVP... congrats to the Texas Rangers for bringing home their first world title in franchise history on Wednesday. Seager faced an odd question about the Dodgers in his postgame presser and was having none of it.
The World Series may have just ended, but the Dodgers are already making moves.
As 9 players entered free agency on Thursday, the Dodgers signed Max Muncy to a contract extension. Just before, we learned the club also inked two international free agent pitchers in 18-year-old lefty Williams Salazar from Venezuela and 17-year-old righty Weslin de los Santos. Both were assigned to the Dominican Summer League LAD Mega team.
The Dodgers also hired Lorenzo Sciarrino as their senior vice president of global partnerships, perhaps a sign that they will be in heavy pursuit of upcoming free agent Shohei Ohtani, who will offer no shortage of global partnerships.
