The New York Mets are still looking for their first win of 2024 as they enter the final game of their three-game series with the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday.

The Mets lost on Saturday, 7-6, though the game proved eventful once again.

Mets reliever Johan Ramirez was ejected in the seventh inning after he threw behind Brewers designated hitter Rhys Hoskins. Ramirez got a standing ovation from Mets fans at Citi Field. This came after Hoskins hit a home run in the third inning and after Friday’s dust-up with Mets second baseman Jeff McNeil over a slide at second base by Hoskins.

The Mets rallied on Saturday to make it a game after falling way behind. Catcher Francisco Alvarez hit his first home run of the season and went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Brett Baty came on as a pinch hitter and drove in three runs with an eighth-inning home run. Pete Alonso hit a solo shot in the ninth, but the Mets couldn’t complete the comeback.

After the Brewers leave town, the Mets remain at home for three games with the Detroit Tigers starting on Monday.

Here is the preview for the game, with probable pitchers, starting lineups, how to watch and listen, injury updates and more.
