The New York Mets were dominated on Wednesday night by old teammate Marcus Stroman

Stroman, who is now pitching for the Chicago Cubs, hurled eight innings on 88 pitches, allowing just two runs on a Francisco Álvarez home run.

Overall, it was a dominating performance and Stroman didn't attempt to hide his excitement, pounding his glove and chest in celebration on numerous occasions.

Well, as it turns out, some players on the Mets, who spoke anonymously, told The New York Post that they weren't fans of Stroman's actions.

“What did we do to him?” an anonymous Mets player asked after the loss, according to the New York Post. Another added: “Show some respect. Be a professional. It isn’t all about you.”

Following the game, Stroman downplayed pitching a gem against his former team that let him walk in free agency.

“I really don’t play into it too much, to be honest with you,’’ Stroman said via the Chicago Sun Times. “Younger me may have seen it as a revenge game. But now I know how to pitch, I’m really good at what I do and it’s just a matter of getting to the point mechanically and just rolling start to start and staying there.”

Minutes later, Stroman tweeted out the shushing emoji.

Stroman is 4-4 with a 2.95 ERA this season for the Cubs.

The righty left the Mets after the 2021 season, as the team never showed any interest in retaining him.
