In this story:
MIAMI - The future is bright.
Top prospects: Francisco Alvarez, Brett Baty, Mark Vientos and Ronny Mauricio are all playing for Triple-A Syracuse to begin the 2023 season, but they might not be for long.
On Saturday, this group combined for nine hits, five extra-base hits, four home runs and 10 RBIs.

The star of the show was Baty, who went 4-for-5 with two home runs, a grand slam, five RBIs and four runs scored. He also made a diving catch at third base.
Baty had a hot Spring Training at the plate for the Mets, but was ultimately optioned to Triple-A at the end of camp.
Baty got 38 at-bats in the major leagues last season after making his debut in August. With the way he is swinging the bat, he might be called back up to the big-leagues in no time.
Beyond Baty, Mauricio had two hits and two RBIs, and Alvarez and Vientos had back-to-back home runs in the ninth inning.
Alvarez and Vientos also made their major league debuts down the stretch of last season. Alvarez is the Mets' No. 1 ranked prospect, but must work on his defensive skills behind the plate as a catcher before he is deemed ready to play in the big-leagues every day.
Four of the Mets' top prospects are playing in Triple-A Syracuse and are on the cusp of making it to the big-leagues.
While It's unknown how long it will take for them to get called up, the future is certainly bright in New York.
