How To Watch Philadelphia Phillies vs. Pittsburgh Pirates Series, Pitching Probables
The Philadelphia Phillies return home to start a four-game homestand with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday.
The Philadelphia Phillies concluded their road trip with an afternoon game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday and will now start a homestand with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday at Citizens Bank Park.
The Phillies (6-6) are back at .500 after winning two out of three from the Cardinals. They won the finale, 4-3, with starting pitcher Aaron Nola getting the win to improve to 2-1 for the season.
Catcher J.T. Realmuto, less than a day after he was hit in the throat by a wild pitch from Zack Wheeler, was back behind the plate and was the only Phillies batter with two hits in Wednesday’s game. But Alec Bohm, Brandon Marsh and Nick Castellanos were the three Phillies with an RBI.
Jeff Hoffman notched his first save of the season.
Philadelphia is still chasing the Atlanta Braves in the NL East, but they are the only two teams in the division at .500 or better.
Here is the preview for the game, with probable pitchers, starting lineups, how to watch and listen, injury updates and more.
