Phillies Top 30 Prospect Rankings Get Reshuffle After Top 5

In this story:
The Philadelphia Phillies Top 30 prospect remained steady at the top when it was released recently by MLB.com.
Pitcher Andrew Painter — who is out of the season after Tommy John surgery — remained No. 1 in the re-rank. He is not expected to be able to help the Phillies until 2025, but the talent is still there, their evaluators believe.
Pitcher Mick Abel remained at No. 2. The 21-year-old prospect is at Double-A Reading and could be ready to help the Phillies next season.
Outfielder Justin Crawford — the son of former MLB outfielder Carl Crawford and last year’s first-round pick — remained at No. 3. He’s at Class-A Clearwater.
Third baseman Aidan Miller is new to the Top 30, checking in at No. 4 after the Phillies selected him in the first round of last month’s draft. He’s playing for their rookie league team in Florida.
Outfielder Johan Rojas, who is now with the Phillies and played center field in Michael Lorenzen’s recent no-hitter, is No. 5. He was No. 5 in the previous rankings.
The rest of the Top 10 include pitcher Griff McGarry at No. 6, outfielder Carlos De La Cruz at No. 7, pitcher Orion Kerkering at No. 8, outfielder Simon Muzziotti at No. 9 and outfielder Gabriel Rincones Jr. at No. 10.
