Right-hander Alec Marsh, with a 4-3 record and a 3.76 ERA, takes the mound for Kansas City.

Facing McArthur, Dylan Moore hit a sharp ground ball, but Vinnie Pasquantino fielded it and made the easy out at first. Dominic Canzone followed with another ground ball, again fielded by Pasquantino, who tossed it to McArthur for the out. Ryan Bliss tried to spark a rally but could only manage a soft ground ball back to McArthur, who flipped it to Pasquantino for the final out, securing the Royals' victory. Eighth Inning:
- In the eighth inning, John Schreiber took over pitching duties for the Royals, and the Mariners went down in order. Julio Rodríguez grounded out to third, Cal Raleigh grounded out to second, and Mitch Garver lined out sharply to left field. Trent Thornton replaced Collin Snider on the mound for Seattle. Nelson Velázquez lined out to center, but Hunter Renfroe kept the momentum going with a double to left.
