Over the weekend, the Philadelphia 76ers decided to make some changes to their roster. Their most recent signee recently took to social media to share his thoughts on joining his new team.

On Saturday afternoon, news broke that the Sixers have acquired a new two-way player. After being waived by the Memphis Grizzlies earlier this month, Kenneth Lofton Jr. inked a deal with Philly. To make room on the roster, the Sixers also had to part with two-way player Javonte Smart.

Lofton, 21, is a 6-foot-7 forward who spent two years with the Grizzlies after going undrafted. He made brief appearances at the NBA level, averaging 4.1 PPG and 1.7 RPG in 39 appearances.

As the news of him joining the Sixers bounced around on social media, Lofton decided to make a post of his own. He wanted to let the world know he is excited to get an opportunity on a new team.

Lofton is an intriguing young talent who could be a nice pickup for the Sixers. While he hasn't played much at the top level, the young forward has shined in the G-League. Last year with the Memphis Hustle, he was awarded G-League Rookie of the Year. Before getting waived this season, he was averaging 24 PPG and 11.5 RPG.

Due to the abundance of talent on the roster, Lofton might not see much time on the Sixers this year. That said, he'll be joining fellow two-way player Ricky Council IV on an exciting Blue Coats team.

As for the Sixers, they continue to prepare for their Christmas Day matchup against a familiar face in Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat
