As the NBA season is more than underway, with the Philadelphia 76ers posting a record of 8-3, it's safe to say that their starting lineup is set.

The only spot open for debate is at one of the wing positions, with Robert Covington currently filling the spot left by Kelly Oubre Jr, who remains out of action after being allegedly hit by a car last weekend.

With this being said, Sixers' head coach Nick Nurse hasn't been afraid to go to his bench and fiddle with the line up.

For example, Furkan Korkmaz had a stretch of games which saw his playing time rise into the double digits on three separate occasions so far, something that only happened 15 times last season under previous head coach Doc Rivers.

Nurse sees the depth that his team has as a solution to the congested schedule that the Sixers find themselves with, having played a back to back set this week against the Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics.

"I think that we do have some guys that we probably count on regularly, but you know with a heavy schedule and all that kind of stuff, it might be a good idea to just try out different rotations on back to backs."

Against Boston on Wednesday night, Nurse opted to start Covington, while going for a mix of the aforementioned Korkmaz, Patrick Beverly, Marcus Morris, Jaden Springer, and Paul Reed.

Granted, the bench was rather lackluster with only Springer and Reed finding the bottom of the basket, combining for 19 points across a combined 34 minutes on the court.

Despite the poor showing, Philadelphia's bench is ranked second in the league for net rating, rising directly above the Brooklyn Nets and Washington Wizards, while trailing the Golden State Warriors.

The match congestion caused by the league's back-to-back scheduling is something that Nurse and Philadelphia will have to get used to, as they still have 12 back-to-back sets left in the season.
