On Friday night, the Philadelphia 76ers took on the Houston Rockets, looking to build off of their win against the Orlando Magic earlier in the week.

The Sixers would come out of the gate struggling to find a bucket, which allowed Houston to start to run away with the games.

Yet, over the remaining three quarters, Philadelphia would slowly but surely carve their way back into the match, eventually pulling ahead to get the win.

A big part of their comeback would be the 40 points that the Sixers managed to put up in the fourth quarter, with Marcus Morris Sr leading the tally with ten points.

Perhaps, the most significant of these buckets came within 31 seconds left in the game, when he drained a three as well as converted the and-one, giving Philadelphia a five-point lead, their biggest of the game at that point.

Following the win, Morris spoke with NBC Sports Philadelphia, crediting Tyrese Maxey's energy as a driving force for the Sixers.

"First, Maxey did a hell of a job carrying us in this game, we came out very flat and he came out and rejuvenated, and kept us around in the game," explained Morris, "it was only right that guys got involved in the fourth and brought it home."

To Morris' point, Maxey put on an offensive display against Houston, dropping a game-high 42 points on 50 percent shooting, with 27 of his points coming in the first half alone.

Another big reason for the Sixers' comeback in the fourth quarter, would be their presence on the glass, outrebounding the Rockets, 8-5, which in part, would allow them to take three more shots.

When speaking about his presence in the paint, Morris attributes it to not only his efforts but the Sixers' effort as a whole.

"I think it's a collective, we got a lot of guys on this team, Robert Covington came in and gave us tremendous minutes, House came in and gave us tremendous energy down the stretch," said Morris, "We tried to keep Senguin off the glass, and keeping guys off the glass, I'm from North Philly so it's always there."

While the physicality was a team-driven effort, so was the leadership that was shown in the fourth quarter, with Morris crediting Patrick Beverly for his efforts down the stretch.

"It's very important man, Maxey did a good job keeping us under control, Pat came in and gave us some great minutes, defensively with his voice, and gave us some big buckets down the stretch," said Morris, "we showed a lot of veteran leadership, it wheeled us to the win."

Morris didn't get the win over just any team, as the Rockets were the team that drafted him back in 2011, spending his first season and a half in Houston.

Despite being away from the team for some time, Morris viewed the match as a full-circle moment and is still appreciative of the organization as a whole.

"It's a full circle moment, I came here, Nick was my first coach, Daryl drafted me, so it's a full circle moment every time I come here, I get nothing but love from the Rockets organization, and I enjoy being here."
