Could Tobias Harris Return for Sixers vs. Pistons on Tuesday?

Tobias Harris remains on the Philadelphia 76ers' injury report against the Pistons on Tuesday.

UPDATE: Tobias Harris has been cleared to play, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

One of Tobias Harris’s former teams will be at the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday night to take on the Philadelphia 76ers.

Unfortunately for Harris, he might not be available to play once again.

Heading into the Tuesday night matchup, Harris is listed as questionable for the Sixers. Lately, the veteran forward has been dealing with a knee contusion.

Last week, as the Sixers pulled off an upset victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Harris experienced some knee soreness after a collision late in the game.

Before the Sixers took on the Miami Heat two nights later, Harris reportedly received an MRI. While the MRI didn’t reveal any damage, Harris was still diagnosed with a contusion. As a result, he was ruled out against Miami.

Initial reports suggested Harris could miss one-to-two games. While he was listed as questionable for both games in the back-to-back set over the weekend, Harris was downgraded to out against the Memphis Grizzlies and the San Antonio Spurs.

Despite missing the previous three games, the Sixers have found success in Harris’s absence, as they are in the midst of a five-game win streak. As they slightly moved up the Eastern Conference standings, the Sixers need every win they can get down the stretch.

The last time Harris appeared on the court, he checked in for 35 minutes against the Thunder. The veteran scored 18 points on 36 percent shooting. He also came down with six rebounds, and produced four assists.

It’s unclear if Harris will have the opportunity to make it back in time to help as early as Tuesday’s game against the Pistons. If Harris sits for the fourth game in a row, his next opportunity to compete would come on Friday, when the Sixers host the Orlando Magic.
