Joel Embiid, Sixers’ Final Injury Report Status vs. Detroit Pistons

In this story:
As they fire up the final week of the 2023-2024 NBA regular season, the Philadelphia 76ers have a crowded injury report.
As expected the All-Star big man Joel Embiid is the headliner of the report, as he eases his way back into the Sixers’ rotation after missing multiple months of action due to meniscus injury.
Going into Tuesday’s game against the Detroit Pistons, the Sixers listed Embiid as questionable. Since he returned to action one week ago against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Embiid has been questionable for every matchup.
For the matchups against the Thunder, Miami Heat, and Memphis Grizzlies, Embiid was cleared for action. During that three-game stretch, the big man saw the court for an average of 28 minutes. He produced 28 points per game, while coming down with six rebounds per game. The Sixers were undefeated during that stretch.
When the Sixers approached their matchup against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, Embiid was questionable once again, but didn’t receive the chance to play. For the first time since March 31, he was ruled out.
Despite missing Embiid for the night, the Sixers found a way to snag a win in San Antonio after two overtimes. They will search for their sixth win in a row against Detroit on Tuesday.
