Nick Nurse Explains Tobias Harris' Absence vs. Cavaliers

While the Philadelphia 76ers' injury report against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night contained the same names that it has for the past few weeks, including the likes of De'Anthony Melton, Robert Covington, Nicolas Batum, and Joel Embiid, there was another addition; Tobias Harris.
Harris was added to the injury report in the middle of the day due to a left hip impingement, which left the door open for the 31-year-old to miss his fifth game since the start of the new year.
He would ultimately miss out on Monday night's win against the Cavaliers due to the hip impingement, with Sixers' head coach Nick Nurse shining some light on it following the match, explaining that the injury worry started during the team's shootaround.
"That one kind of surprised me to be honest, I knew he didn't look great at shoot around," Nurse told reporters, "he wasn't moving great, but not everyone moves great at shoot around sometimes, so you're left thinking 'he's just a little sore'."
Nurse explained that when he was informed about Harris' impending absence, he didn't have long to ponder a replacement, so he quickly turned to the next player in the spot.
"I didn't have that much time to wander and think about it," explained Nurse, "but it's happening so much now it's just like move on to the next guy..."
As a replacement for Harris, Nurse opted to start KJ Martin, who managed to put up ten points, while securing eight rebounds en route to a Sixers win.
While there was no further update regarding Harris' health from Nurse, he'll have a rest day on Tuesday before the Sixers are set to take on the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.
