Sixers Downgrade Tobias Harris on Injury Report vs. Miami Heat

In this story:
UPDATE: Tobias Harris is expected to be ruled OUT, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Heading into the Thursday night matchup against the Miami Heat, the Philadelphia 76ers have a crowded injury report.
While some of the names on the report have been on there frequently, the veteran forward Tobias Harris is a new member to pop up this week.
Following a Tuesday night win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, Harris is dealing with the aftereffects of a hyperextended left knee. Therefore, the Sixers have him listed as questionable on the injury report for Thursday’s game.
It’s been a couple of weeks since Harris missed any action for the Sixers. Back on March 16, the veteran was ruled out against the Charlotte Hornets. When the Sixers last played the Heat at home, Harris was out for a second—straight game. Then when the Sixers kicked off a four-game road trip out West, Harris missed the opener against the Phoenix Suns for a third-straight absence.
Since then, Harris has been healthy and on the court. Over the last eight games, Harris averaged 18 points on 46 percent shooting. While attempting five threes per game, Harris found success on 43 percent of those shots.
With the regular season winding down, the Sixers are searching for consistency in the health department. Unfortunately, they haven’t found it in April so far.
Not only is Harris questionable, but so is the starting guard Tyrese Maxey, and the All-Star center, Joel Embiid. In addition to the questionable starters, the Sixers also anticipate facing the Heat without Robert Covington and De’Anthony Melton. As for questionable reserves, the veteran center Mo Bamba is unsure of his status as well, as he battles an illness.
The Sixers and the Heat will go toe-to-toe at 7:30 PM ET on Thursday.
