The wins keep coming for the Milwaukee Bucks and so do personal milestones for one of their leaders.

Piling up achievements

Veteran center Brook Lopez carved another milestone when the sizzling Bucks defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, 119-106, for their 10th straight win on Friday night.

During the game, the 34-year-old became the oldest player to record 100 three-pointers and 100 blocked shots in a season as he ended the game with 22 points, 15 rebounds, three blocks, one assist and a steal.

The Splash Mountain went four-of-six from the three-point land in that 13-point victory, providing yet another solid contribution to Milwaukee’s hot streak.

The achievement came a few days after the seven-foot center scored 15,000 career points.

An instrumental part of the team

Lopez joined the 15,000-point club when he dropped a team-high 27 points in the Bucks’ 127-108 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on February 7th.

The 15-year veteran has been instrumental in Milwaukee’s strong showing this season, providing much-needed support to the team’s key players Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, and Khris Middleton.

For this season, Lopez is averaging 14.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 2.5 blocks per game. He ranks second in the entire league in blocks, next to the Brooklyn Nets’ Nic Claxton, who is good for 2.6 blocks a game.

Milwaukee is currently second in the Eastern Conference standings with a 39-17 record, just one and a half games behind the 41-16 Boston Celtics.

Interestingly, Milwaukee’s next assignment will be against Boston in what could be a slam-bang showdown on February 14th.
