With Zach LaVine officially unavailable for the rest of the year, all eyes are now watching the Chicago Bulls’ next steps in approaching this season and their future. And in their ongoing monitoring, one of the key names that is emerging has been Andre Drummond.

As such, sources told HoopsHype's Michael Scotto that Drummond is looked by several teams like Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns.

“One Bulls player who could be dealt, however, is center Andre Drummond who’s drawn trade interest from the Celtics, Mavericks, Lakers and Suns," league sources told HoopsHype.

Andre the Giant

Throughout the Bulls’ zigzagging progress this season, Andre has been their most reliable role-playing unit coming off the bench.

This season Drummond has been solid in his role as the Bulls’ backup big man for Nikola Vucevic. For 50 games played, he is averaging a solid 7.7 points and 8.3 boards while shooting 55.3 percent from the field.

Back in late December to early January, when Vooch was inactive for five straight games because of a left groin strain, Andre improved his play as he averaged 14.0 points with a mind-blowing 19.4 rebounds throughout the said span as a starter.

While he isn't enjoying his prime All-Star status anymore, the 29-year-old remains excelling in his main role as an important part of Chicago's support mob. And when the Bulls are asking a major responsibility from him, the former star center is always ready and capable to live up to the challenge.

A center that fits the bill

The trade intentions of the four teams mentioned are intriguing. All of them are considerable title contenders, and three of those ball clubs are residing in the Western Conference. From this, it is safe to assume that they are eyeing Andre’s service in preparation for a potential postseason matchup with the reigning world-champion Denver Nuggets that features superstar center Nikola Jokic.

With his huge body that is ready for physicality and the still impressive production that he is contributing, Andre truly stands as a perfect fit for a backup center amongst contending teams. Thus far, the Bulls haven't shown any significant signs that they'll blow it up. But should they finally consider it, they certainly have to capitalize on the value of Andre.
