The recent injury news involving Zach LaVine complicates the Chicago Bulls’ plans at the trade deadline. The team was set on moving the two-time All-Star first before considering other moves.

However, with LaVine out for the season due to surgery on his bothersome right foot—virtually rendering him untradeable at the deadline on February—will the Bulls pivot to moving other players like DeMar DeRozan, Alex Caruso, Andre Drummond, and even Jevon Carter?

Should the Bulls decide to become sellers at the deadline later this week, here are two players they must consider acquiring:

Austin Reaves

The Lakers and Bulls have been linked to trade rumors for a while now. With the Lakers needing scoring, playmaking, and veteran leadership, two players who the Lakers reportedly want are DeRozan and Caruso. It remains to be seen if the two sides will even reach the negotiating table, but if they do, the Bulls must insist on acquiring versatile guard Austin Reaves.

Like White, the 25-year-old is in the midst of a breakout season, averaging 15.6 points, 5.2 assists, and 4.0 rebounds in 30 minutes.

“Austin Reaves, 25, isn't exactly ultra-young. But his contract is team-friendly, and the Los Angeles Lakers still profile as one of the most likely suitors for DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso. Reaves would fill an offensive void following any trade, and frankly, Chicago should just be trying to extract as much value from the Purple and Gold as possible,” Dan Favale of Bleacher Report said.

MarJon Beauchamp

MarJon Beauchamp is a young player who could do well in another city. A talented 23-year-old who has shown glimpses of his potential, Beauchamp has been buried deep in the Milwaukee Bucks’ rotation this season, playing in only 36 games and some in the G League.

“Beauchamp is more of a wing flier. He runs the floor well, has a serviceable catch-and-shoot stroke, can defend the point of attack and will match up well with bigger wings as he gets stronger. The Bulls shouldn't view him as Alex Caruso compensation. They also shouldn't be opposed to sweetening a Jevon Carter-to-Milwaukee package by taking on Pat Connaughton's money and offering second-round compensation to land Beauchamp,” Favale continued.
