Chicago Bulls ace DeMar DeRozan is excited to see what his USC Trojans will look like this coming season with the arrival of arguably the most exciting freshman the campus has ever seen in Bronny James. Deebo, a former product of the USC program, says the arrival of LeBron James' oldest son will bring a lot of attention to the Trojans, while his skills have the potential to bring the basketball team to new heights.

Star power

In the world of basketball today, LeBron James is still one of the biggest stars of the game. Throughout his career, James has won four MVP awards, four championships and recorded 19 All-Star appearances. This is exactly the kind of star power DeRozan believes Bronny will bring to USC, which may finally bring them over the top against their more famous rival, UCLA.

"When I went there, I always used to wonder, 'Man, why we don't get more attention?' Basketball-wise, you just need that big name to come there to bring that attention in. He's the perfect person for that," DeRozan said during his appearance on Paul George's podcast.

"I think, the way he comes in, the way he's gonna handle it, the attention he's gonna bring and the player that he is—I think it's going to push 'SC to another level that we haven't seen."

Stellar recruitment class

PG went on to say that Bronny has a lot of the same attributes that his famous dad has. This could serve him well at USC, where he will team up with fellow McDonald's All-American Isaiah Collier as part of a stellar recruitment class that ranks up there with any other in the country right now.

"He's got all the s--- that [LeBron James] got: high IQ, he's athletic, he makes the right plays … I was amazed," George said. "He's got the personality, the charisma, he's got the humbleness. 'SC really got a good one."
