The Chicago Bulls (19-23) look to bounce back as they take on the retooled Toronto Raptors (16-25) on Friday at the Scotiabank Arena. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. EST, with Chicago aiming to get back on the right track after losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday, 109-91.

New-look Raptors

The Raptors’ rebuild continued on Wednesday morning as the team traded away the last member of the Raptors team that won the 2019 NBA title—power forward Pascal Siakam—to the Indiana Pacers for Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora, and three first-round picks. Also being sent to the Raptors by way of New Orleans is point guard Kira Lewis.

Toronto has been busy wheeling and dealing in the last few weeks. They recently sent OG Anunoby to the New York Knicks, getting RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley in return.

Uncertain Bulls

While the Raptors have been successful in reshaping their roster, the Bulls have kept their core so far. Despite the rumors of Zach LaVine being on the trading block, no deal has materialized yet. Furthermore, a report has mentioned that the Bulls may opt to keep LaVine past the trade deadline should no suitable offers arise.

This uncertainty surrounding the Bulls may be a cause for concern among their fans. With teams like the Knicks and Raptors making big moves to improve, the Bulls risk falling behind in the competitive Eastern Conference.
