The Chicago Bulls need every win they can get with less than 30 games remaining in the regular season. At 25-27, the Bulls are just a game away from the eighth-seeded Atlanta Hawks. With the San Antonio Spurs coming to the United Center, the team got some much-needed good news as starting power forward Patrick Williams was listed as "probable" to play.

Just a minor tweak

Williams suffered a right ankle injury towards the end of the Bulls' win over the Charlotte Hornets last week.

"That last play for me in the fourth, I'm not really sure if I stepped on a foot or what," Williams said. "But kind of tweaked it a little bit there. But I'll be fine. I've dealt with this plenty of times before and dealt with a lot worse too. So I'll be fine."

Despite the injury, Williams suited up in the Bulls' 129-121 win against the Portland Trail Blazers. He played 31 minutes in that game and had six points, seven rebounds, a steal, and a block. Any concerns about his ankle injury were laid to rest with this thunderous alley-oop slam.

Remains to be seen if Caruso can play

Alex Caruso's availability for the game versus the Spurs, though, remains up in the air after he suffered a sprained ankle during an awkward landing on an offensive rebound during the game against the Hornets.

Bulls coach Billy Donovan said after that game that Caruso needed to be checked out by the team's medical staff to determine the severity of the injury. The versatile guard did not suit up against the Trail Blazers.

"Alex, it's his foot," Billy Donovan said. "But the severity or what it was . . . I was just told at halftime that he wasn't going to play in the second half."
