A couple of predictions for the Chicago Bulls at the trade deadline

In this story:
All is quiet on the trade front for the Chicago Bulls. At 26-28, things have obviously not gone well for the team, as it had elevated expectations after returning to the NBA Playoffs last season. While many fans and pundits believe changes need to be made, team insiders are saying that the Bulls' decision-makers are keen on keeping the team's core together and are likely to stand pat at the trade deadline.
However, there are still a few rumored trades that could take place before the February 9th deadline. Here are a few guesses of what may be in store for the Bulls when the clock strikes 3:00 p.m.
The Bulls keep their "Big Three" together
Bulls executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas is a big believer in continuity and keeping the team's core together. And so, despite numerous trade rumors involving soon-to-be-unrestricted free agent Nikola Vucevic and Zach LaVine, a trade involving either player or even DeMar DeRozan is not forthcoming.
"The feeling about the Bulls from one executive is that a complete blow-up isn't in the cards," Joe Cowley wrote for the Chicago Sun-Times. "Instead, they might try to add draft currency or salary-cap flexibility while still trying to stay competitive."

This is not to say the Bulls won't make any moves at all. It's just that any transaction may more likely include a fringe player like Coby White or Andre Drummond rather than any of their core ones.
Drummond will get moved
Speaking of Drummond, it's highly likely that the former rebounding champ will find a new home before the trade deadline. Although the veteran big man produces when given ample playing time, it appears coach Billy Donovan isn't impressed with the center's fit within his system despite his recent improved play. With Drummond also having a player option this summer, it makes sense that the Bulls might look to get something of value in return for him now while they still can.
