What we learned from the Chicago Bulls' gritty win over the Memphis Grizzlies

In this story:
The Chicago Bulls may have stood pat at the trade deadline, but they kept moving forward and, in the process, inched closer to the .500 mark with a 118-100 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Here are two takeaways from the hard-earned win.
Bulls dominated the glass
With the Grizzlies only having Jaren Jackson Jr. as their legitimate big, the Bulls feasted on the glass, outhusting their foes, 46-34, in that department. Chicago’s twin-tower combo of Nikola Vucevic and Andre Drummond took full advantage of the situation and tallied double-doubles each to help power the Bulls to the victory.
Drummond had 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Vucevic had 20 markers and 10 boards.
Drummond also passed Bill Laimbeer and moved into 38th all-time in NBA history in total rebounds. The former UConn star currently ranks fourth among all active players in career rebounds.

Not worried about other teams
While the Bulls front office sat on their hands on Thursday, other Eastern Conference teams reloaded their rosters with high-quality players. The Philadelphia 76ers bolstered their perimeter shooting with the acquisition of Buddy Hield, while the New York Knicks added more weapons to their cache, trading for veterans Alec Burks and Bojan Bogdanovic.
However, Bulls wingman DeMar DeRozan isn’t at all worried by what other teams are doing.
"Bring it on, whatever it is," DeRozan said.
"One thing about this group, speaking for myself, is we showed last gam, and we showed a lot of games that we can compete and play against anybody. Sometimes, the record doesn't necessarily reflect it. But it's all about coming together at the right time."
