The Cleveland Cavaliers Are On An Incredible Run Right Now

In this story:
The Cleveland Cavaliers are the hottest team in the NBA, as they own the league’s longest active winning streak at seven games.
They have also gone 12-3 since the long-term injuries to Darius Garland and Evan Mobley were announced.
Additionally, according to Cleveland.com’s Chris Fedor, the Cavaliers have trailed for a total of 35 seconds over their last four contests.
In fact, all 35 seconds came in one game. With Cleveland ahead 74-53 against the Chicago Bulls one week ago, the opposition went on a 28-6 surge across the third and fourth quarters to take an 81-80 lead. However, a three-pointer from Caris LeVert put the Cavaliers in front the rest of the way.
Other than these 35 seconds, the Wine and Gold have racked up wire-to-wire victories in each of the other three games.
On January 11, Cleveland defeated the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 111-102 in the 2024 NBA Paris Game. Then, the Cavaliers beat the Milwaukee Bucks, who were without two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, by a score of 135-95 this past Wednesday, their largest victory of the season.
Finally, this past Saturday, the Wine and Gold began their current four-game road trip with a 116-95 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.
In their last four games, the Cavaliers are allowing an average of just 95.8 points per game, the fewest in the NBA, while outscoring their opponents by a league-leading 22 points per game.
Cleveland also ranks top-five in: defensive rebounds (39.8, most), three-pointers attempted (43.0, most), personal fouls (15.8, fewest), total rebounds (49.8, third), and three-pointers made (15.3, tied for third) per game.
A victory over the Orlando Magic tonight would give the Wine and Gold their eighth straight win, and 13th in their last 16 contests.
