Giannis Antetokounmpo's Status vs. Grizzlies Revealed

The Milwaukee Bucks are facing the Memphis Grizzlies in their preseason finale on Friday night, and they will be playing their regular starting lineup that includes Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, per Jim Owczarski of Milwaukee News Guild

While there are no injuries that Lillard and Antetokounmpo have been dealing with, the preseason status of star players is always in question up until game time, since teams often choose to rest their top talent in these exhibition matchups.

While rest for stars is common in the preseason, the Bucks are using this game as somewhat of a dress rehearsal for the regular season, which is especially important since they just recently acquired Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Grizzlies also have some new pieces that they have been integrating throughout training camp and the preseason, so this final preseason game will also be an opportunity to work through some different things while also giving different players opportunities to get on the court. This is really what the preseason is about, as it serves as an opportunity for teams to work through regular rotations while also taking a look at young players that don’t usually get a chance to play.

The Grizzlies and Bucks are set to tip-off at 5:00 PM PST on Friday night in what will be the final preseason game for both teams before the regular season begins.
