Memphis Grizzlies Rookie Makes NBA History vs. Golden State Warriors

With a 20-point performance against the New York Knicks in his first real rotation minutes, Memphis Grizzlies rookie GG Jackson followed up that impressive showing with another incredible game on Monday night. Facing the Golden State Warriors, Jackson finished with 23 points and 6 rebounds.

With this performance, Jackson became the third-youngest player in NBA history with 20 points in consecutive games. The only players in NBA history to achieve this feat at a younger age than Jackson are LeBron James and Kevin Durant, per @StatsSAC on X:

This was not the only age-related history that Jackson made in this game, as he also became the second-youngest player in NBA history to make at least five threes in a single game. LeBron James was again the youngest player in NBA history to achieve this feat.

These last two games from Jackson have been perhaps the biggest bright spot in an otherwise dreadful season for the Grizzlies that has been derailed by injuries. Other than the return of Ja Morant, which lasted just nine games, Memphis has not had many moments this season that were better than what Jackson did against the Warriors on Monday.

For Golden State, it was another brutal loss in a season that has been fill with them. This team needs changes, and this loss to the Grizzlies illuminated that reality even further.
