NBA Admits Missed Calls in Grizzlies vs. Hawks

The NBA has released their Last Two Minute Report for Friday night's game between the Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks, and it includes three missed calls that the league has revealed explanations for.

The first missed call came with 1:25 remaining, when the officials missed a three second violation on Clint Capela. In their explanation for this play, the NBA wrote, "Capela (ATL) is in the lane for longer than three seconds."

The second missed call came with 32 seconds remaining when the officials missed a shooting foul that Jaren Jackson Jr. committed against Bogdan Bogdanovic. In their explanation for this play, the NBA wrote, "Jackson Jr. (MEM) swipes down and initiates contact to Bogdanovic's (ATL) left knee, causing him to trip."

The third and final missed call on the Last Two Minute Report came with 22.5 seconds remaining when Clint Capela should have been called for a shooting foul on Jaren Jackson Jr.'s shot attempt. In their explanation for this play, the NBA wrote, "Capela (ATL) initiates contact to Jackson Jr.'s (MEM) wrist that affects his shot attempt in the lane."

The NBA only publishes explanations for calls made in the final two minutes of close games, so there is nothing public on anything that happens prior to the final two minutes of a game. For this one, the NBA detailed three missed calls.
