Status of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard vs. Grizzlies Revealed

In this story:
The Memphis Grizzlies are set to face off with the Milwaukee Bucks in NBA preseason action, but the new look Bucks will not be debuting their star trio of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Khris Middleton. The three players will be out for this game, which pushes the much anticipated Bucks debut of Damian Lillard back at least one game.

While Lillard’s actual Bucks debut will be opening night, his first time on the court with Antetokounmpo in the preseason will still be a very big deal. The Bucks shocked the NBA world by acquiring Lillard after a deal between the Portland Trail Blazers and Miami Heat never happened, and now sit atop the list of championship favorites in the Eastern Conference most places.
For the Grizzlies, it would have been fun to face off with this duo in preseason action, given the low stakes and exciting nature of such a game. That said, Memphis will continue to focus on themselves as they ramp up for a very big season that again includes high hopes of a deep playoff run.
Memphis won their preseason opener over the Indiana Pacers, and will look to build off that momentum with another solid showing on Tuesday night vs. the Bucks. While the preseason is inconsequential, it's still a great opportunity to build good habits before the real games begin.
