Trade Idea: Mikal Bridges to the Memphis Grizzlies

In this story:
It is officially that time of year. While NBA fans and analysts wait for the Finals to begin, trade ideas for all of the teams no longer playing are starting to heat up. A recent article from Bleacher Report came up with one hypothetical trade idea for each team, including one that sends Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets to the Memphis Grizzlies.
The centerpiece of the Kevin Durant trade, Bridges showed real signs of stardom during his brief time with the Nets this season. In 27 games with the Nets after being traded form the Phoenix Suns, Bridges averaged 26.1 PPG, 4.5 RPG, and 2.7 APG. Also a solid defender, Bridges was playing at a very high level on both ends, which left Brooklyn and their fans feeling excited about what the future could hold.
While Bridges is still seen as a centerpiece in Brooklyn, some have questioned if the Nets would be better off selling high on their newly acquired forward in an attempt to bolster their rebuild effort. As Bleacher Report noted, a deal this summer would allow Brooklyn to net several future first rounders, while Memphis would be getting a legitimate two-way wing that would perfectly compliment their current core.
Regardless of how the Nets decide to approach this summer, they have to feel good about the current positioning of their rebuild. As for Memphis, they are also in a good spot, but likely sit one or two pieces away from championship contention.
