In this story:

The Utah Jazz are in the home stretch of their 2025-26 regular season, with just five games left on the calendar before officially entering an exciting offseason.

But as with any NBA offseason, there's bound to be change on any given roster, and the Jazz are no exception.

Multiple players suiting up in the final few games now won't be on the same sidelines in just a few months’ time as Utah continues to build up their roster for what's bound to be a vastly different-looking 2026-27 campaign.

So, with that pending roster turnover in mind, let's take a look at three players currently on the Jazz who might be eyeing a change of scenery headed into this offseason, and thus could be taking the for their final few games with Utah.

1. Kevin Love

After being initially pinned as a buyout candidate upon joining Utah via trade from the Miami Heat last offseason, Love has nestled into being an exemplary veteran in the Jazz's building, and a well-valued presence for both Will Hardy and the young players around him.

Love also heads into unrestricted free agency this summer for what will be his age-38 season. His presence in Utah has been successful enough that it could warrant the Jazz to hand him another one-year deal, but he could also find interest from another contending team in the market.

Retirement, after his 18th year in the NBA, might very well be in the cards as well, even though Love himself has yet to allude to that being the case.

That's not to say Love's return to Utah should totally be counted out for another year. But as of now, there are plenty of factors that could lead to the beloved big man playing his final few games in Salt Lake City.

2. Oscar Tshiebwe

Tshiebwe's undoubtedly been a fan favorite for the past two seasons he's been in Utah on his two-way deal. But contractual logistics could be what ends his time with the Jazz this offseason as he now heads to the free agent market once again.

For the past two years, Tshiebwe has been eligible to be simply signed on as one of the Jazz's three two-way deals as one of 18 select players to make the roster. Now that he'll be entering year four of his NBA career, though, it officially makes him ineligible to ink another two-way deal.

If on an NBA opening night roster next season, it has to be via a traditional contract, and it’s debatable whether he's played well enough to land that opportunity. With the way that the Jazz's roster depth is trending, there just might not be the space to sign Tshiebwe on for year three in SLC.

3. Kennedy Chandler

One of the Jazz's several 10-day signings from the second half of this season, Kennedy Chandler has turned out to be possibly the biggest bright spot Utah has seen of those short-term deals brought in. In just seven games, he's played an average of 32 minutes a night at 14.4 points and 6.7 assists a game.

However, it's another case of contractual logistics that might leave Kennedy off the Jazz's roster, possibly even before the official end to the 2025-26 regular season.

The 2022 second-round pick is currently a second 10-day deal that expires one game before the end of the year. If Utah decides not to sign him to a rest-of-season contract for him to play that final matchup against the LA Lakers, he'll technically be off the roster after that 81st game; unlike Bez Mbeng, who's signed on to play for the rest of the year, and possibly on the summer league roster.

The Jazz could technically do that. Even if he does get signed on for another contract, though, Chandler might still be on the outside looking in to make next year's roster cut. Based on his recent play, he'll at leasthave intrigue from other teams who can offer that opportunity, if not in Utah.
