It all comes down to this — and potentially two more showings — for the New York Knicks.

The Knicks face elimination in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday night, as they seek to earn the first piece of a three-pronged comeback against the Indiana Pacers at Madison Square Garden. New York trails the best-of-seven series 3-1 after dropping a 130-121 decision on Tuesday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Tyrese Haliburton had 32 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds without losing a turnover.

To date, only 13 NBA teams have overcome a 3-1 deficit in a best-of-seven set. None of them have hailed from Manhattan, though the Knicks did take things to a seventh game when they fell behind by a matching margin against the Pacers during the 1995 conference semifinals.

4th Quarter

13.1—Nembhard hits one last double, closing the game for the Knicks. Game 6 is Saturday in Indianapolis 

19.7—Knicks scoring ends with a strong slam from Ariel Hukporti (111-92 NYK)

1:28—Both sides empty benches during an Indiana timeout and a Game 6 is more or less confirmed

2:12—Another empty Indiana possession leads to another Towns dunk, as time continues to tick away (108-90 NYK)

2:44—Towns' emphatic dunk, which draws a Mathurin foul, could serve as a dagger, even with the missed free throw. Indiana begins removing starters from the game as the Garden volume rises. (106-90 NYK)

4:00—Teams treading baskets, Knicks still maintain a 16-point lead as it dips under four minutes (104-88 NYK)

6:21—Bridges finds Hart for a banked double, which leads to a Pacer timeout (100-84 NYK)

7:06—A Hart drive leads to a Nembhard foul and and-one. Hart misses the single but the lead is back up to 14 (98-84 NYK)

8:04—A quick 9-1 run for Indiana, capped off by a Walker free after Towns was stripped, leads to a Knick timeout (96-84 NYK)

9:52—After a quick quarter for Indiana, Towns' drives puts him at the line via a Turner foul. After some wincing from getting hit in the chin, he sink one of two (96-79 NYK)

11:13—After Mathurin free throws, Anunoby reposts the 20-point lead with a corner three (95-75 NYK) 

11:43—Shamet re-enters and hits a mid-range tally to open the period (92-73 NYK)


3rd Quarter: Knicks 90, Pacers 73

1.1—The Pacers put up a seven-point swing, but Bridges re-establishes a firm lead in the penultimate second (90-73 NYK)

1:52—After hitting a two-point pull-up on the other hand, McBride deals a hard foul to Siakam. It's reviewed for a flagrant but no change. Siakam hits one. (86-65 NYK)

2:38—Achiuwa extends the run to 10-0, scoring on an and-one through a McConnell foul. He misses the free throw (84-64 NYK)

2:56—Brunson hits a three and gets one more at the line on a Toppin foul. Timeout Pacers after the quick 7-0 run. Brunson makes it eight with a single at the line. (82-64 NYK)

3:18—Doubles from Brunson and Bridges sandwich a Sheppard offensive foul. (78-64 NYK)

4:09—While Mathurin shoots (and makes) free throws off a Robinson foul, the Knicks put Precious Achiuwa in for Robinson (74-64 NYK)

4:17—Indiana brings back the "Bewitch-A-Mitch" gambit. Robinson misses both.

4:37—Brunson finds Bridges to stop the Indiana run at 8-0 (74-60 NYK)

4:50—Haliburton passes up a three to find Toppin in the paint, and he banks in an and-one (Brunson's second foul). Toppin hits the single (72-60 NYK)

5:22—Hart is charged with a loose ball foul, and the Pacers are in the bonus. Mathurin goes to the foul line and hits both (72-57 NYK)

6:24—Towns is fouled, sending Siakam to the line. It's Towns' fourth foul. Siakam hits one of two while Towns goes to the bench. (72-53 NYK)

6:32—Anunoby hits two after a Nembhard foul interrupts his alley-oop. The Knicks go up by the proverbially magic 20. (72-52 NYK)

7:08—Bradley needs assistance to get to the Indiana bench, seemingly injury his ankle. Thomas Bryant comes in for him while Brunson shoots two off a Nembhard foul (68-52 NYK)

8:49—Timeout Pacers after Robinson tips in a Brunson miss. (66-50 NYK)

9:50—The Brunson onslaught continues, as he re-establishes the largest lead with a three (64-48 NYK)

10:25—Nesmith responds with a corner three on the other end but Brunson earns one the hard way and goes to the line via Nesmith foul. He gets two and the freebie. (61-50  NYK)

10:50—Brunson starts third quarter scoring with a driving double (58-45 NYK)

2nd Quarter

36.1—Back-to-back doubles for Towns and Bridges re-establish the double-figure lead. That closes scoring for the half (56-45 NYK)

1:23—Mathurin hits a three to narrow the gap to seven after a Walker swipe of Anunoby (52-45 NYK)

1:56—Walker hits his first attempt of the series, a three from the corner (52-42 NYK)

2:59—Brunson picks up his first foul, one that will send Haliburton to the line after a timeout. Haliburton hits both. Jarace Walker enters the game for the first time this series (50-38 NYK)

3:47—Turner picks up his third foul, this one of the offensive variety, after an exchange of doubles (50-36 NYK)

5:10—Anunoby puts back his own miss to create a new largest lead for the Knicks (48-34 NYK)

5:42—Towns earns another successful and-one off Turner's foul. Brunson re-enters after resting most of the period. Knicks won the stretch 18-11. (46-34 NYK)

6:18—Nembhard scores off the timeout but Shamet hits a three at the top of the key. (43-34 NYK)

6:56—Towns' attempt to give the Knicks a double-figure lead back is rejected by Turner. Timeout Knicks, Pacers ball.

7:54—After the refs miss a Towns foul on the other end, a Josh Hart drive leads to an and-one off a foul from Mathurin. He hits the freebie. (40-32 NYK)

8:17—McBride puts in the Knicks' first bench points of the night through a three (37-32 NYK)

8:59—Towns puts back in a Wright miss from three, the Knicks' first offensive rebound of the game (34-29 NYK)

10:05—After an initial exchange of doubles, Towns gets a three-point play, hitting the free throw off a Siakam foul (32-25 NYK)

1st Quarter: Knicks 27, Pacers 23

45.1—Back-to-back baskets from Siakam and Bennedict Mathurin (the latter a three) close out scoring for the period and push Indiana to within four (27-23 NYK)

3:38—Brunson responds with another double fadeaway

4:02—After a few second chances, Obi Toppin scores at the foul line upon his entry (23-15 NYK)

4:25—Brunson turns a Haliburton airball into yet another three, giving him 12 early on. Timeout Indiana (23-13 NYK)

5:00—After an exchange of doubles (including a Towns bank) Brunson swishes a three (20-13 NYK)

5:47—Towns re-establishes the two-possession ;ead with a three in the corner (15-11 NYK)

6:05—Haliburton goes to the line for three after an Anunoby foul. He hits two. (12-11 NYK)

6:20—Turner charged with a foul in an ill-fated attempt to keep Robinson off the offensive board.

11:42—Jalen Brunson gets the Knicks on the board with an early floater (2-0 NYK)
