Giddey, who was listed as questionable, will play in his 64th game of the season. He is dealing with a forearm injury, but it will not keep him out of this contest.
The last time Giddey played against the Lakers, he had the game of his life, and it was unique. Not only did Giddey lead the Bulls to the win, but he was the first player to record a stat line of 15 points, 10 rebounds, 17 assists, and eight steals.
Giddey played the game of his life and the Bulls played the game of the season when they faced the Lakers on Saturday at Crypto.com Arena.
The Bulls shot 78.6 percent on twos in the first half and 73.7 percent on threes in the second half. Overall, the Bulls shot 58.3 percent from the field and 46.3 percent from three. They also outrebounded the 42-35 Lakers and committed 11 fewer turnovers, 21-10.
Giddey averages 14.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 6.9 assists in the season.
Chicago has been on a roll recently and will aim for its fourth consecutive victory on Thursday. The Bulls have struggled at home this season, holding a 13-22 record, while allowing 119.7 points per game and being outscored by an average margin of 2.4 points.
The Lakers, meanwhile, have faced challenges on the road, posting a 16-19 record away from home. In games decided by at least 10 points, Los Angeles sits at 18-19.
Over their last 10 games, the Bulls have hit their stride, compiling an impressive 8-2 record.
During that stretch, they have averaged 122.5 points, 45.2 rebounds, 29.2 assists, 8.2 steals, and 4.9 blocks per game while shooting 49.5 percent from the field. Their opponents, on the other hand, have averaged 113.6 points per game.
Conversely, the Lakers will look to regain their rhythm after an inconsistent three-week stretch.
Their recent performances have been underwhelming. They have gone 4-6 over their last 10 games while averaging 112.2 points, 41.5 rebounds, 25.6 assists, 7.5 steals, and 3.1 blocks per game on 46.4 percent shooting. During that span, their opponents have averaged 118.2 points per game.
