Jamal Murray Injury Status For Lakers vs Nuggets

In this story:
The Los Angeles Lakers are in a critical fight for the second seed in the Western Conference standings. Right now, they sit a game back of that spot, sitting in fourth.
Denver is one of the teams that is ahead of them for that spot in the standings right now. It was not ideal that they beat the Lakers less than a week ago.
Now, the Lakers get another chance at beating the Nuggets. They will do so without LeBron James yet again, as he is still recovering from a groin strain that has kept him out the last couple of weeks.

The Nuggets don't come into this game completely healthy, either. Jamal Murray is on the injury report again after he missed the game against the Warriors.
Murray is listed as questionable ahead of this matchup with the Lakers because of an ankle sprain.

The Lakers are hoping that he doesn't play because it would make it easier for them to win the game. Los Angeles needs as many breaks as they can get while they are trying to finish the season strong.
As long as the Lakers have Luka Doncic while James is out, the Lakers should be fine. He is still a top-three player in the NBA when he is fully healthy.
These two teams are also fighting with the Houston Rockets for the second spot in the West. Houston is tied with the Nuggets for that spot right now.

The Lakers have a tough back-to-back stretch in the next couple of nights. They take on the Nuggets on Wednesday and the Bucks on Thursday.
If they can play a game against the Nuggets without them having Murray, that would be ideal. They are already going to have to use a lot of energy to win the game by stopping Nikola Jokic.
So far this season, Murray is averaging 21.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game. He is shooting 47.4 percent from the field and 39.7 percent from three.
