Doncic has already been one of the best players in the NBA despite the fact that he has never been able to play an entire season in shape. It looks like he is taking things much more seriously this year.
Injuries have started to pile up on his body, and part of the reason may have been the case is the kind of shape he was in. He's hoping that being in better shape will keep him healthier.
The Lakers need Doncic to be healthy and much better on the defensive side of the ball than he was last season if they are going to compete for a championship. He is the one of the keys to them making a deep playoff run.
