The Nikola Jokic vs. Joel Embiid discussion is a very interesting one. While Embiid is the reigning league MVP, Jokic is the reigning Finals MVP, which seemingly ended the debate between the two superstar centers. That said, the conversation still gets brought up quite a bit, and former Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers was asked about it during an episode of KG Certified.

"[Jokic] just does everything," Rivers said. "Joel is the best scorer. Joel is the only guy who can stop Joel from scoring. You can’t stop - he can do everything. But the Joker, man. He just makes everybody better. He runs their whole offense. Just throw him the ball."

Of course having coached Embiid in Philadelphia, Rivers knows how special of a player he is. That said, Rivers also recognizes the level that Jokic is at, and the way he is able to do everything on the floor. Both dominant, Jokic and Embiid are very different players, and there is definitely a large gap in the playoff success they have had both individually and from a team perspective.

An NBA champion and a Finals MVP, Jokic is also the only player in NBA history to lead an entire playoff run in total points, rebounds, and assists. While Embiid is great, there is certainly a gap between he and Jokic right now.
