When he was coming out of the NBA Draft, Phoenix Suns SG Devin Booker was often compared to Golden State Warriors SG Klay Thompson for a few different reasons.

Now fast forward to present day, where Booker has eclipsed not only expectations but also the Thompson comparison itself. 

During the third quarter of Phoenix's win over Golden State, some words were exchanged between Thompson and Booker. 

Eventually, things got heated enough for Thompson to be ejected from the game after the two continually kept going at it. 

That was the first time in his 759 career games Thompson was ejected, an accomplishment for Booker who already held him to 1-of-8 shooting up to that point. 

Thompson exited the game with two points, but he was quick to remind Booker about the four championship rings he has with Golden State. 

Following the game, Booker met with reporters and addressed the respect he had for Thompson while ensuring he stood his ground:
