Suns Reveal Starting Lineup vs Lakers

The Phoenix Suns' starting lineup will look like this after losing Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.

PHOENIX -- We're just minutes away from opening tip between the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers. With two stars out, Suns head coach Frank Vogel wouldn't reveal the team's starting lineup ahead of their final of two road tests to begin the season.

"Stay tuned" said Vogel.

However, both teams have now released their starters. Phoenix's lineup looks like:

Eric Gordon
Grayson Allen
Josh Okogie
Kevin Durant
Jusuf Nurkic

The Suns will be without Bradley Beal and Devin Booker tonight as both are dealing with injuries.

Beal is out due to lower back tightness, an injury that kept him out for a good portion of preseason play and the team's 108-104 opening night win over the Golden State Warriors

Booker was listed with left foot soreness, though he was initially dealing with a toe injury dating back to the team's last preseason game. He did play in Golden State and finished with a stat line of 32 points on 13-21 shooting with six rebounds, eight assists and one steal.

NBA on TNT's Jared Greenberg is reporting Booker sprained his left foot and is expected to miss some time (more info here).

Allen went 0-6 shooting on opening night while Gordon shot just 4-16. The Suns will need both to step up tonight against a mostly healthy Lakers starting lineup that features stars in LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

“It’s a lot easier coaching him than coaching against him, I’ll tell you that," said Vogel on Davis. Vogel coached Davis+James to the 2020 NBA Finals with the Lakers.

"He’s a handful and it was actually a great preseason game for us because D-Lo and Austin and LeBron as handlers, with AD rolling to the basket, that’s as tough a cover as you’re gonna get."

Tip is scheduled for 7:00 PM PST on TNT.
