Though it took longer than anticipated to officially complete the deal, we can now call Bradley Beal the newest member of the Phoenix Suns

The Suns exchanged Chris Paul, Landry Shamet and a myriad of picks/swaps in the future to land Beal along with Jordan Goodwin and Isaiah Todd.

Beal - one of the premier scorers in the league - will be wearing No. 3 in Phoenix, a number he's represented since first entering the NBA as the third overall pick in 2012.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bradley, Jordan and Isaiah to the Phoenix Suns as we continue to build one of the premier organizations in all of sports," Suns owner Mat Ishbia said in a statement.

“Bradley Beal is one of the best players in the NBA and brings so much to our team including incredible work ethic, great character, and the mindset of a champion. Jordan and Isaiah add talent and versatility to our roster that will continue to make this team among the league’s best.

"We are committed to bringing an NBA championship to Phoenix and I could not be more excited about how this organization is coming together heading into the upcoming season.”

A lot is riding on the talents of Beal (who averaged roughly 23 points per game last season) to help the massive drop in scoring Phoenix saw beneath Kevin Durant and Devin Booker last season. The Suns are confident he can do just that, and more.
