The Phoenix Suns no longer employ the talents of Chris Paul after months of speculation surrounding his future with the franchise.

Dating back to the trade deadline months ago, the Suns were reportedly searching for alternatives for Paul, who just turned 38-years-old. Paul's arrival saw Phoenix reach heights such as a trip to the 2021 NBA Finals and a franchise record 64 wins the following season.

However, the Suns have hit a massive reset in terms of the coaching staff and roster, and thus Paul was included in a blockbuster deal that landed Bradley Beal in the Valley.

Paul was quickly dealt to the Golden State Warriors after temporarily landing with the Washington Wizards, and now the future Hall of Fame point guard sits in a backcourt with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

It's an exciting trio for Golden State to work with, though there has been questions on what will exactly unfold with the roster. Would the Warriors start Paul at PG and push Curry/Thompson into other positions? Is having Paul come off the bench a possibility?

When meeting with Warriors media for the first time since being traded, Paul was asked about potentially playing with the second unit.

He didn't seem to like the question.

“You coaching?" replied Paul (h/t NBC Sports).

"I don’t know what the situation gonna be yet. So I think that’ll be for us to figure out once we get going... [Paul is asked about his openness to coming off the bench] Like I said, it would be a conversation for us when camp starts. Yes, Steve and I have talked and whatnot, and that ain’t something that you’d be like, ‘you’re starting or coming off the bench,’ and we’ll figure all that stuff out.”
