Chris Paul Joins Exclusive Assists Club

Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul just became the third NBA player in history to reach 11,000 assists.

Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul is nicknamed the "Point God" for a reason.

Paul's ability through his career to navigate the floor and command an offense have been second to none in his generation.

Through the near two decades he's played in the league, Paul has made 12 NBA All-Star appearances and 11 All-NBA teams among other prestigious accomplishments.

In Sunday night's victory against the Los Angeles Clippers, Paul checked another achievement off his list by crossing 11,000 assists in his career.

Only Jason Kidd and John Stockton are in that club.

Paul has finished as the league's leader in assists five different times through his career, most recently doing it last season.

He also became the first player in the league with 20,000 points and 11,000 assists, according to NBA.com.

Since last year's postseason, Paul's play has come under heavy fire. While age and health is beginning to impact him, Paul's track record as a point guard in the NBA simply can't be overlooked.
