As the Phoenix Suns prepare for their final preseason game against the Sacramento Kings, head coach Monty Williams met with reporters and briefed media on who would/wouldn't be playing in the finale.

The likes of Chris Paul, Devin Booker, Mikal Bridges or Deandre Ayton would not be available. The starters played in the prior three games and Williams had seen enough.

Injuries to Cameron Johnson, Cameron Payne and Landry Shamet are also out of commission.

Yet the status of power forward Dario Saric has been one to monitor, as he's missed the end of the preseason for personal reasons.

Many fans speculated a potential trade, but Williams said his absence was due to "family matters" and the power forward is expected back in time for the regular season opener against the Dallas Mavericks next Wednesday.

In the lone game he played, Saric scored 12 points while grabbing four rebounds and a steal. After coming off a torn ACL in the 2021 NBA Finals, Phoenix is excited to get him back on the court.
