Memphis and Phoenix Close Out Seeding Games With Wins, Spurs Eliminated
All eyes are on the Western Conference! Memphis and Phoenix both closed out their seeding games on Thursday with wins and the San Antonio Spurs have officially been eliminated from the Western Conference.
This is the first time the Spurs have been eliminated from the postseason in over two decades. Their 22-season playoff streak comes to an end after a loss on Thursday to the Utah Jazz.
So how will the Western Conference play out? It comes down to Thursday’s matchup between Portland and Brooklyn. If the Blazers win Portland clinches the No 8 seed and a matchup with Number 9 Memphis.
