With it being a relatively short commute from San Francisco to Sacramento, Kings star De'Aaron Fox expected more Warriors fans at Game 1 in Sacramento. While this would be standard for any Warriors road game, it has been especially standard for games in Sacramento over the last several seasons.

Mentioning this during his postgame interview, Fox said he expected more Warriors fans to show up, having seen the way they travel during his time in the league. It was a pleasant surprise for Fox, who shouted out Kings fans for showing up and being loud.

One of the best home crowds in all of basketball, Kings fans have been backing this team all season long. Their fanbase took it to an even greater level for Game 1, drowning out any of the Warriors fans who made the trip to see the defending champions. Warriors fans travel well, and are located all over the world, often making it tough to establish a dominant home court advantage against them. Sacramento was able to do this on Saturday night, and it certainly contributed to their Game 1 victory.

As Fox and the Kings know, this is just one game, and the job is far from finished. The Warriors are the defending champions for a reason, and they were one shot away from sending this to overtime. While their Game 1 victory is a huge momentum boost, the Kings have a lot of work to do in order to secure a series win.
