Injury Report: Anthony Edwards' Status vs. Warriors

After missing the last three games, Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is being listed as questionable for Sunday night's game vs. the Golden State Warriors. It is a right ankle sprain that has Edwards on the injury report, but it seems as if he has a chance to make his return to the lineup for this massive Western Conference showdown with Golden State.

The Timberwolves are looking to escape the play-in picture, and they will likely need to win this game against the Warriors to do so. Sitting 1.5 games back of Golden State, the Timberwolves are not only chasing the Warriors, but they are also looking to hold off both the Lakers and the Pelicans, who each sit in a tie with Minnesota for the seventh seed entering play on Sunday.

The status of Edwards is incredibly significant, as he is often the engine for Minnesota’s team. Without Edwards, it feels very hard to pick the Timberwolves to win this game, especially considering it will be played in San Francisco, where the Warriors have been dominant all season.

The Warriors have won three-straight games, which has put them back into a tie with the LA Clippers for the fifth seed. LA currently holds the tiebreaker over Golden State, which will come down to either conference or division records since the Clippers and Warriors tied the season series. It should be a very fun game between the Timberwolves and Warriors on Sunday night, and Anthony Edwards will likely receive a final status update shortly before tipoff.
