Patrick Mahomes Compares Himself to Steph Curry
Every modern NBA fan wants to be like Steph Curry - even other athletes. Not just any athlete though, but one of the best in the world.
During a Super Bowl press conference, Patrick Mahomes was asked which NBA player he would be like if he were in the league and his answer was none other than Steph Curry.
"If I played basketball, I'd be just like Steph Curry," Mahomes said. "I've got the shot. I just got to get a couple little extra reps, couple shots up, I'll be shooting just like him. That's who I'd be."
This isn't just any NFL player saying this either, it's a two-time Super Bowl champion, two-time Super Bowl MVP, and a two-time NFL Most Valuable Player.
Statements like the ones Mahomes made should really put into perspective just how massive the impact Steph Curry has had as a basketball player. The way people bring up the impact of legends like Allen Iverson and Shaquille O'Neal, is the same way they should be bringing up Steph Curry. His ability to the three-point basket has transcended beyond the court and fully affected the way people play the game of basketball.
It remains to be seen whether or not Patrick Mahomes ends up with the same level of success as Steph Curry, but he's very clearly on the path to that same level of impact.
