Steph Curry Unexpectedly Added to Injury Report vs. Hawks

In this story:
After dropping 50 points in Wednesday night's loss to the LA Clippers, Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry has been unexpectedly added to the injury report for Friday's game vs. the Atlanta Hawks. The Warriors are listing Curry as questionable with left thumb soreness for this game.
This news is certainly unexpected, as there was no real indication that Curry had suffered an injury in Wednesday night's game; however, it could be one of those situations where the Warriors are just being abundantly cautions with their star guard.
Having lost nine-straight games on the road, the Warriors are still in danger of falling out of the playoff picture with several road games still remaining. Golden State currently sits in the 6th seed, but with the 7-10 seeds being the play-in tournament, any slippage puts the Warriors at risk of a win or go home scenario before even reaching a seven-game series.
Looking to avoid the play-in tournament at all costs, Golden State must figure out a way to correct their road woes before the season ends. This game in Atlanta will come against a mediocre Hawks team, but the Warriors have shown an ability to lose to almost anybody away from Chase center this season. If Curry is unable to play, this feels like a very tough game for Golden State to get.
Always wanting to play in every game, Curry will likely attempt to give it a go on Friday, but it will be a collective decision between himself and the medical staff if he is ultimately able to play.
