Steph Curry's Unexpected Status vs. Milwaukee Bucks Revealed

Coming off a much needed win vs. the Chicago Bulls on Friday night, the Golden State Warriors have ruled Steph Curry out for Saturday night's game against the Milwaukee Bucks due to rest. This is Curry's first missed game of the season due to rest.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr recently opened up about the unfair load being placed on Curry right now, saying, "The burden that Steph Curry has on him for this franchise is unfair. The Draymond suspension - Draymond is the vocal leader of the team, obviously. He and Steph have kinda been co-captaining the leadership of our group for a decade. So without Draymond here, that adds a lot more to Steph's plate."

Recognizing the load Curry has needed to carry for this team, the Warriors feel it's best to hold him out on the second night of a back-to-back. While this is understandable, given the heavy load Curry has carried for most of this season, the Warriors are also not in a position to give away any games at this point.

Currently sitting a full game back of a play-in spot, the Warriors are not guaranteed anything. This makes the decision to rest Curry more impactful than if the Warriors were comfortably in a playoff spot, but that is not the case.

Perhaps the Warriors can surprise people and pull out a win without Curry, but it will not be easy.
