Speaking exclusively with Inside the Warriors at the Harold and Carole Pump Foundation Gala, Los Angeles Lakers champion Byron Scott shared his honest thoughts on Chris Paul joining the Golden State Warriors.

"I don't know, to be honest with you about that move, I think that's still one of those wait and see [moves]," Scott said. "Because I know the style of play that Golden State wants to play is really up and down, and at this stage in his career, Chris is more of a set up type guy, you know, half court. So it's going to be interesting to see how that works with the second unit, or how Steve Kerr is going to utilize him, but the West is going to be tough. Denver is good. The Lakers I thought really improved this offseason. Golden State is going to be tough, they got championship pedigree. Minnesota is an up and coming team with [Anthony Edwards] who is a hell of a basketball player. It's going to be a really fun time to watch the Western Conference."

This seems to be a commonly held opinion on the Chris Paul trade, because while the veteran point guard should help the Warriors take care of the ball, his style of play is very contrary to how Golden State usually likes to operate.
