Major Injury Update for Key Warriors Player Revealed

In this story:
Golden State Warriors guard Gary Payton II has missed the last 13 games due to injury, but is set to make his return on Saturday night against the Dallas Mavericks. The Warriors have released their injury report for this game, and Payton is not listed, meaning he will be available to play.
This is huge news for a Warriors team that could use help anywhere they can get it. Having built some momentum with a five-game winning streak prior to their Christmas Day matchup with the Denver Nuggets, Golden State has taken a couple steps back, dropping that game in Denver, and suffering a very bad loss to a shorthanded Miami Heat team on Thursday.
While Payton certainly does not fix all of Golden State's problems, he does give the a versatile weapon on both ends that can help fill a lot of holes. This is why the Warriors brought Payton back after letting him walk in free agency, realizing that his skillset is the perfect piece next to their core players.
This game aghast the Mavericks is a big one for Golden State, as they look to reestablish some positive momentum following their bad loss vs. Miami. It has been an up and down year for the Warriors, but hopefully the return of Payton can give them a much needed boost on and off the court.
